You're Not Really in Ketosis
Check out our free two week challenge! I can count on my hands the days I've cheated. I lost about 15 pounds and went down 1 dress size in the first 3 months. In August my weight slowly started creeping back up. I bought myself a blood test meter as a Christmas present to make sure I'm in ketosis and not messing something up.
I am in ketosis. Today I'm at a 1. I didn't over eat, had a regular meal. Didn't loose any weight - still in ketosis. I had my thyroid checked and they said all my numbers looked good but I was probably borderline hypothyroid and there was nothing they could do at this point. I'm back up at my original weight and growing bigger. I'm beside myself with frustration. How can I stay in ketosis and never lose weight - instead gain? Yes, weight loss can affect hormones, especially estrogen which can affect your cycle. This should resolve soon but if it doesn't, please check in with your doctor.
The best thing you can do now is just go back to eating very low carb and high fat! They say for carbs ive been under thirty and close to 20 everyday but some of those are from Splenda in my tea. You may find our two week challenge helpful as it can get you on track with no tracking or logging necessary.
Also, a heads up that the Splenda has artificial sweeteners which can hinder progress. He says to make sure you are getting enough salt in your diet. That was my problem a few years ago and it worked when I added a bit more salt. Also, I would advise many of you to get a hormone penal done thru a Naturopathic Dr. I also did that and it was a life changer.
